KVC has noticed that in Kakuma refugee camp and neighboring schools, children are not given this opportunity and therefore it is a problem that needs our attention. At Kakuma vocational Center we have realize that children have a greater need of being involved in Child development activities to enhance their teamwork and problem-solving skills and boosting their ability to think critically.
Child Development Activities is a physical learning tool that helps children organise their ideas and construct new knowledge. Embracing the concept of scaffolding, the methodology enables children to transform their thoughts into the problem solving. The process provides a child with a visual structure helping them generate and produce a good idea.
This project aims to bring together all children of a certain age in order to give them Emotional support after school or while they are in the community.
The beneficiaries of this Project are children from 4 to 8 years old, boys and girls from different nationalities, different categories and vulnerable which will constitute clubs in different areas of Kakuma Refugee Camp which are blocks, schools and Host community.
For the number, each club will have 21 children per club in 4 clubs that will have 120 children in two months. It just means that in a year we will have formed 30 clubs which will give the total of 504 children per year in 3years will have the total of 1,512 children.
