EMAT, reliable digital learning for K12 students

Each K12 student can live their own learning experience with EMAT, the entertaining, pedagogical, and efficient learning platform

The EMAT platform is an online software for K12 students, teachers and managers. Personalized, adaptive method, based on challenges, it allows serving the students' diversity. The implementation includes training, follow-up and online support. EMAT has been created under the direction of Ph.D. in mathematics, Universidad Católica de Chile, Victoria Marshall, 30 years experience in education.

About the innovation

The raison d'être of EMAT

What we do is offer a program that develops all the objectives of the Chilean official curriculum, but that does it step by step, tailored to each student and from what he knows. With navigation plans with or without recovery of objectives from previous levels and even with differentiated plans for children that cost them more

We do it because we realize how important mathematics is in the formation of an individual and his reasoning. Our mission is that all children have the opportunity to enrich themselves with them.

Because today there is a large knowledge gap within a classroom and we can not teach everyone equally, there are at least 3 groups with different learning needs and we can focus on each of those groups.

Because outside the classroom children are in a digital and multimedia world and they will adapt better if we offer them materials that are appropriate for that context

What is EMAT psu?

Prepared for students of III and IV of high school (11 and 12 grades) focused on preparing the selection test for the University. Emphasizing the leveling of contents of I and II of high school that are evaluated in the test and the realization of essays by subject and general giving simulated scores and allowing to correct the errors

What is EMAT media?

Prepared for 9th and 10th grade high school students with the contents and skills of the chilean official program. Learning based on the resolution of challenges and exercises, with feedback, which allow the recovery of previous contents and tailor-made learning, giving the student confidence in their own abilities

What is EMAT básica?

Prepared for students from 3rd to 8th grade, developed according to the official curriculum. With an interface that changes according to the age of the students, both in the group of characters and in the contexts of the exercises, with an emphasis on playful and methodological aspects, such as step-by-step learning, to the rhythm of the student and the opportunity to recover previous contents, which increase the self-esteem and safety of each student

Each pedagogical Advisor serves around 20 schools. This attention can be face-to-face or remote according to the importance of each activity and the place where the establishment is located.

Implementation steps

Preparation of a new school

1) Welcome Mail to the establishment. 2) Assignment of a pedagogical advisor, specialized professor in EMAT. 3) Invitation to the directors to the initial meeting. 4) Presentation of EMAT to the school. 5) Appointment of project manager at the school.6) Scheduling of sessions of the participating courses

Tecnological Implementation

1) Connectivity test 2) Network configuration 3) equipment maintenance 4) evaluation of the need to install a local server with the application.

These tasks are carried out by the establishment with the assistance of Compumat.

Initial teacher training

1) Registration of teachers on the platform. 2) Presentation of the model and structure of EMAT and entry to the teacher's platform 3) Make a simulated experience as a student, where they will know the steps that the student will follow in their first working sessions

Initial session of students

1) The equipment and the network are already implemented 2) Students enroll in the platform with their personal account 3) students give their diagnosis that will determine their work plan 4) Students are on a list associated with the corresponding teacher . 4) Students can access the platform from home
