This material aims to celebrate the music and dance traditions from Nordic countries in a new international platform. With this project, we aim to strengthen multicultural education by offering adaptable models of Nordic music traditions for classrooms worldwide. The material encourages its user also to find own ways and pedagogical adaptations of teaching and learning!
The advantage of producing an online publication is the capacity to give examples of e.g the pronunciation of nordic languages, video examples of the work, with links to performances. The ideas are presented to extend further the material aiming at enabling music teacher to make better use of, and understanding of the content. It is open platform of ideas and innovations, and does not include any expectations for the user.
The material is online and free of charge.
The editing team has been invited to give presentations of the page in the national and international music education seminars worldwide, e.g. Thailand, Colombia, U.S.A, Austria, England, Turkey, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Italy, Spain.
The material is accessible and free of charge online, and it has also spread fast via social media.
