What we do?
Our curriculum is developed in collaboration with experts; ensuring that our classes includes best-practices and easy to use procedures for solving problem using technology, suitable for the African children of all ages.
Techducation Point kicked off its activities in January, 2020, few months before the pandemic hit the world, and has worked effectively in training teachers and educators on effective teaching practices during and post-pandemic through webinars and live training.
Our classes take place in small groups so as to encourage collaboration and team work among our students while increasing teacher-student relationship.
We believe that one of the ways to ensure that kids get digitized in Nigeria and Africa is to enlighten their parents, teachers and the students themselves by sharing the stories of awesome people in tech who started out a career in tech at an earlier stage in their lives.
This is a field which is currently not well utilized and it is our vision to see that more young people pick interest in technology and this is why we launched the AfricansInSTEM series where we highlight the stories of young people doing amazing work with technology, thereby giving them a voice, encouraging them and others as well.
Why we do it?
Africa accounts for the highest number of poor people in the world. This lot can be overturned by relevant education which focuses on delivering the much needed 21st century digital skills in scale.
At the time, there is shortage of capable hands to put these children through what they need to know, and very few resources to help them get started.
