Students claim that they learned more about climate change at Fridays For Future events than in school. This topic is hard to cover for teachers, because there are not enough materials accessible, or they are too complicated and time consuming to use. We wanted to create a solution, to raise awareness and teach students in an interesting and easy way about global warming.
Our innovation is a educational game developed using Unity, primarily for mobile devices but adaptable to XR platforms and desktops. The game's design focuses on adaptability, allowing the creation of custom versions efficiently, particularly simplifying the complex multiplayer setup essential in educational contexts.
The game uses iPads linked via a local network in schools, facilitating real-time interaction among students. This setup enhances learning through engagement and teamwork. In partnership with climate NGO Global 2000 and educational experts, we ensure the content is both engaging and educational.
The effectiveness of our solution is evidenced by enthusiastic reception and successful implementation in Austrian schools. Extensive playtests and iterative feedback from students and teachers have continuously improved the game. These iterations, guided by expert input, confirm the educational value of our game, making it an effective digital education tool.
Our game was recently launched and handed over to the climate NGO Global 2000, marking the beginning of our marketing phase. Currently, we're expanding our reach to schools, museums, NGOs, and companies, aiming for widespread adoption and collaboration.
Over the next 2-3 years, our goals include diversifying the game's versions to meet specific partner needs. Plans are in place to develop single-player variants for company-based education and a version tailored for younger children, enhancing its accessibility and educational impact across different age groups and settings. This strategy aims to deepen the game's educational impact by adapting to diverse learning environments and requirements.
To try our game, visit our demo at https://risingtide.causacreations.net/. If you're interested in adopting the solution, contact us via email at office@causacreations.net. We'll discuss your specific needs, whether adaptations are required, or if the standard version suits your context. Talks will also cover the options of licensing or single purchase, including any additional development costs.
