I created Axis AI because I have seen firsthand how the education system excludes children with disabilities. In Zimbabwe, over 90% of children with disabilities are not in school, not because they cannot learn, but because the system was never built to support them.
My younger brother, who has cerebral palsy, is one of these children. He is bright, capable, and able to learn, yet he has been locked out of education due to barriers that have nothing to do with his ability.
That reality made it clear to me that this is a systemic failure. We continue to document inequality, but very little is done to solve it.
Axis AI is my response: a practical solution designed to make education accessible, adaptable, and possible for children who are currently left out.
In practice, Axis AI is a mobile-based learning platform that parents can install and use at home. A child logs in and receives daily, curriculum-based lessons adapted to their specific learning needs. The platform converts content into accessible formats such as audio, simplified text, or visual support depending on the child’s abilities.
As the child progresses, the system adjusts the difficulty and format of lessons to match their pace. In later stages, teachers can upload structured lessons and monitor progress, allowing for guided support alongside the AI.
This creates a flexible learning environment where children who are currently excluded from school can access consistent, personalized education from home.
Axis AI is currently in its early stages, with growth driven by research, conversations, and increasing interest around the problem it addresses. The idea has gained attention through engagement with parents, advocates, and individuals within the disability and education space, who have validated both the need and relevance of the solution.
Interest has also been supported by existing data, including survey findings showing a significant number of children with disabilities are out of school. As development progresses, we plan to build on this early interest through pilot programs and direct user adoption.
We have strengthened Axis AI by adding features that increase both support and usability for families. This includes a parent dashboard, where caregivers can track their child’s progress, identify areas for improvement, and better support their learning journey.
We are also introducing the option for live tutor sessions, allowing parents to book one-on-one support when needed. This adds a human layer to the platform, ensuring that children receive guidance beyond AI-driven learning.
These additions make Axis AI more practical, responsive, and effective for real-world use.

We are working toward launching a pilot version soon, starting with a small group of users before expanding access more widely.
