Catalyst

From ideas to action

Catalyst bridges the gap between big problems in education and the collective solutions it takes to solve them. No longer are you alone in your school, district or country. Other education leaders have already experienced and are facing the same challenges. We uncover and report on solutions, and co-construct new ones - together.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

School and district leaders convene at events to discuss transformation, yet year over year leaders long to not just talk about change but to work alongside others to put it into action. Recognizing this need we convened leaders in Australia, South Africa, London, and North America to understand how they currently connect with other leaders, and how they would like to...form this Catalyst was born

What does your innovation look like in practice?

We uncover and report on solutions, and co-construct new ones - together.
Catalyst forms relationships with organizations that convenes government leaders, school district and school leaders to plan and deliver experiences where 90% of the time participants are co-constructing a shared output with other fellow participants.
We do this through Catalyst Sessions which are 75-90min experiences, events on Clubhouse or in partnership with organizations that run 4-9 month long immersive experiences.

How has it been spreading?

In 2019 we partnered with 6 organizations, ran 4 experiences span over 4 continents and engaged over 300 participants.
In 2020 we expanded to 18 partners, ran 55 experiences with over 1,300 participants from all continents.
In 2021 we already have over 23 partners have run over 198 experiences with over 21,000 participants and expect this to continue.
