Innovation for future

My society is always struggling with the disposal of the waste products, and not until the waste is totally full in the bin is when the waste collectors will come and take them away. The e-waste is a machine that will have sensors and arduino that will detect when the bin is full and send the message to the bin waste department and will then come for the waste instantly.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

To prevent overflowing of bins

What does your innovation look like in practice?

In practice, AIoT-based smart bins for real-time monitoring and management of solid waste are designed with integrated sensors and communication modules. These sensors continuously monitor the fill-level of the bins, whether by measuring the level of waste inside or detecting the opening and closing of the lid. The collected fill-level data is then transmitted wirelessly from the smart bins to a centralized system or cloud-based platform. This data transmission enables waste management teams to access real-time information about the fill-level status of each bin. By utilizing this data, waste management teams can optimize collection routes, prioritize bins that require immediate attention, and ensure timely and efficient waste collection. The integration of sensors and wireless communication in smart bins allows for seamless data flow and enables effective waste management practices based on accurate and up-to-date information.

How has it been spreading?

Knowledge Sharing and Networking: Conferences, such stuff such as Kenya National science and engineering workshops, and industry events provide platforms for knowledge sharing and networking among waste management professionals, technology providers, and government officials. These events facilitate discussions on the benefits and challenges of implementing AIoT-based smart bins, allowing stakeholders to learn from one another's experiences and exchange best practices.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Buy the stand up and the machine, place it on top of the bin and activate it but online platform that one can either learn online or even ask the buyers to help you connect.
