Build extraordinary projects

Books for the procedures for "extraordinary projects" include the free ebook from Matt Blazek, https://www.TinyURL.com/BlazekProjects. You can see a video about the book and how to use it at TINYURL.com/MattBlazek.

The idea is to create a BIG PROJECT that gets the students academic credit in SEVERAL SUBJECTS. Then the student is likely to care about the result. The students should also REFLECT on their projects and publish those reflections in a blog.

Show students how to build a website and display projects

Ask students to display their work and their reflections (the blog posts about their work).

SUGGESTIONS: If the project has a poster, point a camera at the poster and encourage the students to explain each part. Shy or timid students can stand BEHIND the camera and the viewer will see only their hands as they take the viewer through the project.

Spread your digital portfolio. Add to your DP

After making your portfolio, share it with other students and with colleges that you might want to attend. You are more than a transcript or an average of grades.... Show what you have done.
