About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

I created GreenCycle to address the pressing issue of waste management and promote sustainability in urban areas. I wanted to design a solution that not only reduces waste but also engages and empowers citizens to take an active role in keeping their cities clean. By providing incentives and rewards, GreenCycle encourages behavioral change and fosters a sense of community, ultimately contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

GreenCycle in practice:

1. Community recycling centers with designated bins for different materials.
2. Citizens deposit recyclables and receive points or rewards.
3. A mobile app tracks progress, provides tips, and offers redeemable rewards.
4. Community events and workshops educate on sustainable practices.
5. Partnerships with local businesses offer discounts for redeemed points.

GreenCycle promotes community engagement, education, and sustainable waste management practices.
