As founders, habaybna.net came out of our own experience with our two sons who have developmental disability. After being in this journey with them for the last 10 years and meeting so many other parents like us from several countries in the MENA region, we realized that being a parent of a child with disability requires a lifelong adjustment that needs continues learning, guidance & support.
Habaybna.net is a digital platform in Arabic aims to empower Arab parents of children with developmental disability & caregivers with the skills and knowledge that they need to improve the skills of their children with developmental disabilities and help them improve their skills, aiming to help them have a meaningful life.
With habaybna.net we offer 3 main things to parents:
1. A video library with +800 videos by specialists in special education & rehabilitation.
2. Specialized Online Courses based on microlearning approach to teach parents how they can teach specific skills for their child (our first 5 online courses are in Edit and will be published by May 2021)
3. Online consultations so parents can easily connect with specialists in special education and rehabilitation to have 1:1 guidance.
Currently habaybna.net has +5000 visitors a month with +7000 registered users and provided +1000 calls for parents in Jordan.
Habaybna.net was launched in December 2017 with content only & 140 videos in the video library. In October 2018, & after the frequent demand we used to have from users, we started connecting parents with specialists for consultations via a simple system we developed to schedule and monitor the calls but was separate from the website.
In 2019 & with a prize from Expo 2020 Dubai, we developed the technology infrastructure of habaybna.net to offer Arabic specialized content, online consultations & e-learning system in one place. A mobile App has been launched as well.
We work with specialists in special education & rehabilitation to offer practical strategies and information that are easy to understand & apply in the daily life of parents with their child with developmental disability.
