Now because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all ECD centers have been indefinitely suspended by the Ministry of education.
Because schooling without learning is a terrible waste of human potential, we at KAINOafrica believe that if nothing is done, we shall be condemning the NEXT GENERATION to poverty, struggle, difficulty in learning, and acquiring new skills.
Our K-12 curriculum development experts simply take the Uganda national Early Childhood curriculum and blend it with the British national curriculum because of the phonics approach in Literacy and also blend it with the STEM curriculum for a learner-centered approach and this, in turn, is developed into the KAINO TEACHER GUIDES which empower the teachers and can be used by schools and parents via our web and mobile applications at school, or home.
A school would have to pay for a termly subscription and all their teachers would have access to the teacher guides and a parent would simply log on to www.kaino.africa for our web app or download the KAINO mobile app, subscribe, and use the product.
The KAINO MVP was launched in September 2020 by the Minister of ICT (Uganda) at their HQs in Kampala, Uganda.
KAINO was also pitched to the East African Community (EAC) in November 2020 at their HQs in Arusha, Tanzania.
Because of this, we now have 6 schools running free trial accounts from Uganda and Tanzania and over 300 users from East Africa.
We also started a homeschooling model and this is also growing at a very fast rate by word of mouth.
On the 23rd of March 2021, KAINOafrica won the Future of Education accelerator program and signed a partnership with the Mastercard Foundation to replicate the KAINO model to rural areas of Uganda.
We have also been enrolled in the UNICEF Uganda Innovation Fund Challenge to reach the rural population with our solution.
