About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

I've been thinking for awhile, that maybe not all people can access proper legal basic education, many as such from political regimes, conflicts, and as fallows. Everyone deserves quality education, not because of their status, gender, age, background, law, finance. Everyone deserves education because we do, simply because it is our rights.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Rah-e-Noor operates as a lightweight, secure digital portal designed specifically for Afghan women to safely access educational and life-saving resources. In practice, users download the application or platform package once. Because the system requires no login, collects zero cache, and uses no cookies, learners can explore and study completely anonymously without leaving a digital footprint on shared or monitored devices.

The portal provides an offline-accessible library featuring foundational primary education, STEM modules, essential first-aid and hygiene guides, global news updates, and daily motivational content. All learning materials are free and non-copyrighted, allowing users to freely store, review, and share content locally without internet dependency. By removing digital tracking and ongoing connectivity requirements, Rah-e-Noor functions as a safe, practical gateway for Afghan women to continue their education securely from home.

How has it been spreading?

Rah-e-Noor spreads through a hybrid approach of safe online channels and offline peer-to-peer distribution:

Online Access: For women with internet access, the portal is shared via secure links, encrypted messaging platforms (like Telegram or Signal), and private social media groups, where users can quickly download the package once.

Offline Peer Sharing: For those with limited or monitored internet access, the portal spreads organically via physical media—such as USB drives and SD cards—and local offline transfer tools like Bluetooth or SHAREit.

Community Networks: Underground educators, local women's groups, and trusted community members quietly distribute the download directly to learners, ensuring safe access even in low-bandwidth or highly restricted environments.

How have you modified or added to your innovation?

I've choose to add a designated motivational up-lighting words for a sense of community and care support outside the country.

Implementation steps

STEP 1

Step 1: Download and Set Up the Portal Action: Download the offline installer file or plug in the provided USB/SD card into the local server or primary device. Run the setup file to install the offline environment. Verification: Open a web browser and navigate to localhost (or the provided local IP address) to ensure the portal login page loads successfully.

STEP 2

Step 2: Connect Student and Teacher Devices Action: Turn on the local Wi-Fi router (no internet connection required) and connect user devices (tablets, laptops, or phones) to the local portal network. Verification: Check that each device shows a active connection to the local network and can open the portal home page.

Step 3: Create User Accounts and Access Content Action: Teachers and students log in using their assigned credentials to browse offline courses, download learning materials, or complete local assessments. Verification: Confirm that course videos, documents, or quizzes play and open smoothly without prompting for an internet connection.
