I want to see young people who feel confident, supported, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. I wish for youths to have safe spaces where they can speak honestly about their feelings, pressures, and dreams without fear of judgment.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

In a world where many youths feel pressured, unheard, or overwhelmed, this initiative encourages real conversations around mental health, self-confidence, purpose, and everyday challenges. Through relatable content, interactive discussions, and peer-led activities, Real Talk, Real Growth helps young people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
Led by a young nurse who understands both health and youth realities, the initiative blends compassion, trust, and lived experience to inspire positive change one conversation at a time.
Because when young people are heard, real growth begins.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Real Talk, Real Growth. It’s a youth-focused program that brings young people together in safe, supportive spaces to talk openly about mental wellbeing, personal growth, and life challenges.
We host monthly meet-ups where participants can share experiences, ask questions, and support each other, plus small peer growth circles that encourage accountability and positive habits. As a nurse, I also bring practical health tips and guidance in a relatable, friendly way.
The goal is simple: to help young people feel heard, supported, and confident while building a community of growth and resilience.

How has it been spreading?

Youths who participate tell friends and classmates about the sessions.
Positive experiences create a snowball effect, with more people wanting to participate

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Firstly You can start by picking a topic that matters of youth, like confidence or stress, then i create a safe spaceeither online or in-person for you to share and ask questions.

If I were to implement Real Talk, Real Growth physically, I would start by selecting a safe, comfortable space like a school hall, youth center, or community room, and arrange participants in a circle to encourage open discussion. I’d choose a relatable topic, such as stress, confidence, or self-care, and set ground rules for respect and confidentiality. During the session, I’d facilitate conversation, answer questions, and guide participants through a simple growth challenge, like daily positiv
