Tree planting

place Azerbaijan

Green Roots, Clean Air, Better Future.

This innovation involves planting trees around our school campus and nearby living areas. Trees help clean the air, reduce pollution, and provide shade. Students participate in planting and caring for the trees, learning responsibility and teamwork while helping create a greener, healthier environment for the school and community.

I hope this innovation makes education more practical and meaningful. Students learn by doing, not just from textbooks. By planting and caring for trees, students develop responsibility, teamwork, and environmental awareness, while understanding how their actions can positively impact their school, community, and future.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

I created this innovation because a lot of changemakers like Melati inspired me to make the world better and take care of the environment. Her actions changed my mindset and made me think about the problems around me and ways I could fix them. I saw that many trees are cut down each year, and I saw the amazing air that I am surrounded by, making me wonder if it will always be around. This inspired me to create a project that allows to spread knowledge but not only actually make a change in the environment around us.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

In practice, the innovation looks like students, teachers, and community members working together to plant trees around the school campus and nearby living areas. Specific spots are chosen for planting, seedlings are provided, and students help dig, plant, water, and care for the trees. Regular watering schedules and clean-up days are organized, and students monitor tree growth. Over time, the campus becomes greener, cooler, and more welcoming, while everyone learns how to protect and care for the environment.

How has it been spreading?

It has been spreading mainly through the school action account aswell as speeches in assemblies presenting our project. This has also spread through advertising posters and It's own instagram account aswell.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Contact me through my gmail. If your at my school come up and talk to me or just come to the sessions no sign up needed.
