First HundrED GLocal for 2020 Looks At Fostering An Equitable Culture At A Systemic Level

At HundrEd, we are coming together with our Ambassador Shweta Eidnani from India to bring you an event where innovators from across the world will be sharing their experience and the work they have done and continue to do to foster equity in the education system.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) aims to “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”

While we yet continue to face problems in providing quality and equity in education, it is time to appreciate the tremendous amount of effort that has been going in collectively to make this vision come alive. Join us on Tuesday, January 14th at Atta Galata in Bangalore to share, discuss and learn how so many of us are working towards creating an equitable education system for the children of our country.

At HundrEd, we are coming together with our Ambassador Shweta Eidnani to bring you an event where innovators from across the world will be sharing their experience and the work they have done and continue to do to foster equity in the education system. Since equity is a broad theme, we will be exploring six different approaches to instilling equity, they are:

  • Fostering equity in indigenous and conflict zones
  • Sports as a form of inclusion
  • Leadership
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Peer-Learning
  • 21st-century skills

By bringing together these innovations, this event aims to provide a platform for participants to

  • Learn different ways to foster equity
  • Share ideas, methods, solutions to enable each other to do better
  • Take back strategies and solutions
  • Be a part of a collaborative learning community

The 6 individual presentations will be followed by an innovative discussion time, to enable participants to understand the theme they would like to explore. There will be individual booths designated to the above-mentioned themes to provide space for meaningful discussion and possibilities of future collaborations.

We are happy to share the local presentations made by Mantra4Change an NGO working in space of systemic education transformation. They will be showcasing their work in the space of Leadership and how they have contributed to the vision of an equitable education system. We are still to hear from Umoya sports foundation, who will be presenting about how they have used sport as a form of inclusion through their intensive sports programs with schools, as well as, Shiksharth who will present about their work of the extremely challenging task of fostering equity in indigenous zones.

The three presenters from the HundrED 2020 Global Collection will include Redes De Tutoria, an educational movement from Mexico to build networks of learning based on personalised dialogue, reflection, and community presentations; and ANEER, an innovative and impactful project aiming to settle preschool classes in remoted Moroccan villages. The third presentation, from India as well, is first of its kind, standardized, validated and published scale to measure Life Skills in disadvantaged children by Dream A Dream.

Register for your tickets here! Did we mention it’s free?!
