I selected this area for development based on my own personal experience as a student in the Nepali education system. I often felt that success was tied to memorization for exams and that learning concepts such as those in mathematics went against my natural tendencies. Although I gravitated towards pattern recognition and broad conceptual understanding, many assessments rewarded memorization and preparation specific to the exam. This informed my broader hypothesis that many learning tools built around artificial intelligence put an emphasis on open-ended, conceptual learning whereas the students of Nepal and the wider region are often expected to prepare for rigorous exams according to a strict syllabus. By my own personal observations and usage of these products, there is a lack of balance between these priorities. I claim expertise in this area due to my personal experience as an in-country student. I have spent years learning under the Nepali curriculum and have deep knowledge of the problems, pitfalls, and expectations of the exam-driven system. Additionally, this informs me of the needs of the students of Nepal, a region where my product has potential applicability. Users have demonstrated an interest in the area by engaging with relevant features such as practice questions, notes, quizzes, and other exam-related tools. Our platform is built with Next.js, React , Node.js, Python, Supabase, Netlify, and Antigravity for application development and infrastructure. For the AI models, we currently run on Groq's API. We combine foundation models with our own orchestration and reasoning systems to give curriculum-awareness, generation, and tutoring capabilities. Our stack was chosen to allow for rapid development, low cost to operate, and scale easily as needed. My innovation provides a sleek modern chat interface to the user which makes it easier fro them to access it.
We currently have more than 100 registered users on the platform and more than 20 weekly active users. To date, we have invested $0 in marketing. User acquisition has been made through organic means, primarily social media posts on various platforms: Instagram, Facebook, etc., inviting people to visit the website. The engagement rate is also good, as most of our users hit the daily limit, meaning they use our product actively rather than just registering and not using it. We currently don’t have any paying customers as the product is free, and we are perfecting the legal and business details to be able to officially launch our paid subscription and enterprise plans. As such, as of now, we don’t have any revenues or customers who pay for our services.
We have added IRIS AI, the foundational learning partner and AI agent which is responsible for context handling and problem solving on our platform.
