Through Alekhni, we wish to see a change in society's perception of humanities and social sciences. From the current misconception of social studies being considered useless and shallow, we want to secure the importance of these disciplines by introducing young minds to their practical applications and essential requirements in establishing a peaceful and sustainable society.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Coming from a community with little respect for the humanities and social sciences, we were driven to make these disciplines more inclusive. By spreading awareness about the holistic disciplines of social studies and creating a resourceful platform to make it accessible for young people to learn about social studies in easy-to-comprehend ways, we aimed at building human connections in society.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Alekhni as of now is limited to a website, consisting of interactive categories like quizzes and facts, along with the main learning space, which has informational articles about various social studies disciplines. We also have some uniquely interesting categories for young people such as movie recommendations, and book reviews to increase their coincidental and experiential learning- and allow them to make the most out of their learning experience.

How has it been spreading?

Alekhni is mainly expanding through organic SEO keyword rankings. However, our Pinterest page has increased the site referrals, while word of mouth has also contributed minorly to increasing the number of students utilizing the knowledge on the platform.
