Sunergy

From Sunlight to Uplift.

Many communities lack access to clean, reliable power. Our innovation, Sunergy, is a compact solar hub that provides sustainable energy for charging devices and powering essential tools. It’s portable, eco-friendly, and designed to bridge the energy gap in underserved areas—bringing power where it's needed, when it's needed.

With Sunergy, the change I hope to bring in education is simple but powerful, equal access to learning. Many students in rural or low-income areas struggle because they don’t have reliable electricity. Without power, they can’t charge devices, attend online classes, or even study after dark. This makes it harder for them to keep up, no matter how motivated they are.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

I created this innovation to help communities that don’t have reliable electricity. With Sunergy, they can access clean energy to power basic needs like learning, communication, and daily life without depending on the grid.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

In practice, Sunergy is a compact solar-powered hub with USB ports and LED lighting. It can be set up in schools, homes, or community spaces to charge devices, run small appliances, and support learning where electricity is limited. It's simple, portable, and built for real-world use.

How has it been spreading?

Sunergy has been shared through school showcases, community demos, and word of mouth. We're also planning to collaborate with local NGOs and student groups to set it up in areas that need clean energy the most. Step by step, it’s growing through real impact and simple solutions.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

If you want to try Sunergy, just reach out! We’ll guide you through setting it up, show you how it works, and help you power your space using clean solar energy. It’s plug-and-play, so no tech skills are needed, just sunlight and purpose.

Implementation steps

Unpack and Get Familiar
Carefully open the Sunergy kit and lay out all the components. You’ll find the solar panel, the power hub, connection cables, and an instruction leaflet. Take a minute to identify each part—this helps ensure everything is ready before you begin setup.
Find the Perfect Sun Spot
Place the solar panel in an open area with direct sunlight—like a rooftop, terrace, or courtyard. Make sure it's not blocked by shade or tall objects, so it can soak in maximum solar energy throughout the day.
Connect the Solar Panel to the Hub
Use the provided cable to link the solar panel to the power hub. Once connected properly, an indicator light will turn on, confirming that the system is now charging using solar energy.
Let It Charge Fully
Allow the panel to charge the hub for 4–6 hours in direct sunlight. During this time, the internal battery stores enough energy to power devices later—even during the night or on cloudy days.
Power Up Your Devices
Once the hub is charged, plug in your phone, tablet, or LED light using the USB ports. The system is user-friendly and works just like a regular power bank—no extra setup needed.
Use It to Support Learning and Daily Needs
Set up Sunergy in study areas, classrooms, or community spots. It provides clean, reliable power for students, teachers, or families—perfect for charging devices, running lights, and staying connected without depending on electricity.
Recharge and Repeat Daily
After each use, place the solar panel back in the sun to recharge the hub. With daily sunlight, Sunergy stays ready to power learning, communication, and everyday needs—day after day.
