Block Blast

block blast

Block Blast begins with a simple-looking 8x8 grid, but soon becomes a place that calls for precise calculation. Players are given geometric blocks of different forms that they have to put strategically. Each placement influences the moves that follow , so placing a block is not just a matter of finding a hole.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

The thing that makes block blast so fun is the way the game has you think a few moves ahead.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Instead than just finding a place to accommodate the current block, players can build layouts that maintain beneficial free spaces.

How has it been spreading?

Rectangles, squares and other geometric shapes offer distinct spatial problems.

How have you modified or added to your innovation?

As the grid fills up, it becomes more and more interesting to find the proper placement to complete a row.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Clearing a row feels rewarding and also changes the contour of the board. Block Blast is a dynamic puzzle game with simple mechanics and a variety of strategic options. Observation, planning and space management are the main keys to success.
