Mental health remains one of the most overlooked aspects of healthcare in Nepal. Many people, particularly those in rural and underserved communities, face significant barriers to accessing reliable mental health information and support. At the same time, stigma and misconceptions often prevent individuals from seeking help.
DimagiKura was created to help address these challenges by making mental health education more accessible, encouraging open and informed conversations, and reducing stigma. We believe that where a person lives should not determine their ability to access mental health knowledge and support. Our long-term vision is to help bridge this gap by working with communities and partners to expand access to mental health resources across Nepal.
DimagiKura is currently in its initial phase, with a primary focus on building awareness, educating communities, and creating a safe space for conversations around mental health through evidence based digital content. As the initiative grows, we aim to expand our impact beyond social media by organizing school and community awareness programs, interactive workshops, and campaigns that encourage open dialogue about mental health.
We also hope to promote creative expression through activities such as art, storytelling, writing, and other forms of self-expression that empower individuals to share their experiences in meaningful ways. In the long term, DimagiKura aims to collaborate with mental health professionals, schools, local organizations, and community leaders to improve access to reliable mental health information and resources, particularly in underserved and rural communities across Nepal.
